Karl-Richard-Braun,
with the stage name FreeSpace, is an idiosyncratic, young-at-heart artist who brought the Psychogrammie® of the human being to life. In his unique creations, he was inspired by the world-famous artist Carlos Cruz Diez. From an early age, KRB was fascinated by Diez's works and has always seen him as a role model and inspiration for his works.

Who was Calos Cruz-Diez?
The French-Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez (Caracas, 1923 - Paris, 2019) lived and worked in Paris since 1960. An important protagonist in the field of kinetic and optical art, a movement that promotes “an awareness of the instability of reality”. His work made him one of the most important masterminds of the 20th century in the field of color.

The visual arts of Carlos Cruz-Diez explores the perception of color as an autonomous reality that develops in space and time without the help of form or carrier in an eternal present.

Carlos Cruz Diez described his work as follows: “Color appears and disappears in my work in a dialogue with real space and time. What also turns out is the indisputable fact that the information we have appropriated and memorized throughout our lives is likely not true ... at least to some extent.

If we look at color through an "elemental prism" that has been stripped of pre-existing meanings, others can

Awaken sensory mechanisms that are more subtle and complex than those that have been impressed upon us through our cultural conditioning and the constant ubiquity of information that we face in our society today. "

Who is KRB (FreeSpace)?
Just like Diaz, FreeSpace also uses the fascinating combinations of colors and simple patterns as a basis to evoke moods and emotions in the viewer.

KRB goes even further with its Psychogrammie® of the human being. FreeSpace sees itself as a free artist who does not allow himself to be squeezed into any particular art direction. FreeSpace also symbolizes FREE ART. His works of art are digital works that were created on the computer. He himself describes his workplace as "My easel is my computer"
