Frédéric Alemany, digital artist and performer
Born in Nice in 1966

After a training in philosophy (epistemology), he discovered the numerical logic and the
programming, begins his professional life in an office of study in electronics, code in assembler and wrapper 80C51 micro controller cards. He gives up this job and prefers obviously the artistic applications, the midi interfaces and the correspondences between sounds and colors.
He then devotes himself to contemporary dance in the public space, sings in a rock band musette and writes his first participatory play ...
A route marked out with the opening of alternative places in the eastern districts of Nice (Ram Dam, the collectif of blue devils, Entre-Pont), street actions, ephemeral creations that lead him to cross multidisciplinary practices and to always return to visual creation.
In 2004 he opened the Hublot, center of digital creation in Nice and with Tout Azimuth made the link between live performance and digital arts. He then produces and broadcasts Vox publica, a play of participatory theater on cyberdemocracy, Ecotype, an immersive dome on development
of the territory then Opposite an exploration of the relationships between digital art, simulation and astrophysics. With this new Geolitic project in 2017 on mineral landscapes, he is resolutely committed to contemporary art and is preparing a first exhibition that combines digital installations and 3D landscapes on cement and mortar supports.
