Eric Blondel is a contemporary French painter. Upon his retirement in 2019, he embarked on a journey into painting, driven by a unique blend of factors that compelled him to wield brushes once more. Undoubtedly, it's the lunar, introspective, distinctive, and inventive facets within him that prompted this creative resurgence—his overflowing imagination now channeled onto the canvas, diverging from the more conventional activities one might anticipate from a man of his age and social and professional background. As a result, his artistic realm is enriched by recurring themes such as women, current events, comics, and tumultuous atmospheres, all woven into his dreamlike and occasionally surreal universe.
