Back in early 2012, I was finally priced out of my studio spaces of several years, here in Central San Jose, by extremely greedy new property owners of the building that housed many art studios. I have to admit, I felt a huge sense of loss over this, but, I was also, far luckier than most, because I did have family owned property here in San Jose, I was able to use, to continue my work. But I also spent much more time, hiking and shooting landscape images, sense I no longer had such a great studio space ( which has remained unrented for most of the time since my departure, because nobody else could afford to be ripped off either - but greed is the driving motivator in the SF Bay Area housing and real estate market ). I apologize for getting off track here - It was during this time of increased image production of my landscape works, that I started experimenting with a technique that I eventually called, the ' Fun With Shadows ' series.

This image, I took, along the bank of the San Lorenzo River, in the watershed just above Santa Cruz, Ca. at Henry Cowell State Park - one of my favorites from this series. I think the San Lorenzo river valley, on a late autumn, ' indian summer ' day, has to be one of the most glorious places on earth. Paper is a heavy duty Epson Museum Grade paper. Signed on the back of the print, edition is 13 deep at this size, shipped with Certificate of Authenticity. Image ships unframed.
