Biography
Autodidactic artist Cecil W. Lee became interested in photography in his late teens. Lee also experimented with painting and mixed-media. he later became enthralled with computers, perceiving them as an intellectually exciting and unique artistic tool. He began photographing his tactile art into a digital collection. Throughout the collection process, he revised and improved his visuals in order to maintain consistency. As his editing skills increased, he began using his new found image Manipulation skills. At that point Lee realized he was becoming a computer artist or as he describes it “Computer Evolved Art” artist.
Computer Evolved Art is a digitally assembly process in which the artist uses his photography, paintings and computer created art in combination with a wide number of software applications including AI as tools to digitally alter, blend, layer, transform and evolve my images into new and unique works of art.

Why Computer Evolved Art?
The easiest way to understand Computer Evolved Art (CEA) is to think of it as digital compositing; the process of digitally assembling multiple images to make a final image,
I use my photography, paintings and computer created art in combination with a wide range of software applications and hardware accessories as tools to digitally alter, blend, layer, evolve and transform images into new and unique works of art. The resulting images are subsets of digital in the form of Computer Evolved Art.
Slow changing paradigm. CEA has found boundaries to acceptance which are historically similar to how society has treated other new and unique art styles, some with disdain and others with open arms.
Historically, different forms of art were met with disapproval and resistance when compared against the accepted norms of the time. Impressionism, Cubism, and Abstract Art were all examples of this phenomenon. Many of the original creators of these art styles did not receive recognition until after their deaths.
Withstanding differences of opinions there is no doubt in this artist's mind, Computer-Evolved or your chosen definition, that this art form represents an exciting perspective for the future of art and artists everywhere. - - - CLee
