The works are in the collection of the State Hermitage Museum, many public and private Russian and foreign collections.
Sergey Bakin's favorite themes are urban landscapes and ballet backstage. Once, having received an order, the artist penetrated behind the scenes of the Mariinsky Theater, where the work rapidly developed into a passion. "It is impossible to paint a woman without being carried away by her," says the artist. Perhaps thanks to this author's installation, Sergei Bakin's ballerinas are so mesmerizing with their languid beauty.

Tecnico Disegno

Il disegno è una tecnica di rappresentazione visiva su un supporto piano. Il termine "disegno" designa sia l'azione del disegno, il lavoro grafico risultante, sia la forma di qualsiasi oggetto. È anche una rappresentazione su una superficie della forma (e possibilmente dei valori di luce e ombra) di un oggetto o di una figura, piuttosto che del loro colore. Esistono un gran numero di tecniche di disegno: il "disegno lineare" rappresenta gli oggetti dai loro contorni, bordi e alcune linee caratteristiche; oltre questo limite il disegno si sviluppa rappresentando il volume per ombre, spesso per mezzo di tratteggi, ingloba i colori, e si unisce, senza un netto passaggio, al dipinto.

Sergey Bakin is a refined painter and a virtuoso draughtsman. Classical ballet is an old love of the artist. He addresses its innermost side, reflecting not the stage, but the backstage life of ballerinas, exploring the origin and formation of dance; he is often present at ballet rehearsals at the Mariinsky theater. He is a member of the Union of artists of Russia, the creative Union (IFA), and the Saint Petersburg society of Pastelists. Member of the French society of pastelists. The winner of the Art du Pastel en France 2012. Actively exhibited since the mid-80's in cities of Russia and abroad: about 200 group and personal exhibitions. In 1995-1996-participant of the Druo auction (France). Works in oil painting, watercolors, pastels, and ceramics. The author's works are in the collections of the State Museum "Tsarskoye Selo collection" (Pushkin), Museum of fine arts of the Republic of Karelia (Petrozavodsk), Museum of fine arts of Arkhangelsk, the Museum of modern art "Erarta" (St. Petersburg) and in private collections in Russia, USA, France, Sweden, England, Germany and other countries.
