At one time, on the day of St. George, Emir Kusturica converted to Orthodoxy under the name Nemanya.
Stefan I Nemanja (1113 - 1199) - Serbian great Župan Raška, the founder of the Nemanjić dynasty managed to achieve the independence of Raška from the Byzantine Empire.
