My Mother was a pianist for the New York School of Ballet in New York City for over 30 years, part time for the Harkness Ballet, as well as a pianist for the Carolina Ballet in North Carolina. I was so fortunate growing up in a household with a Grand Piano In the living room. I studied piano for years as did my older brother and younger sister.

Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is a work of genius, There was no way, I could do it justice on the piano but my thoughts and feelings for it could be translated into art, hence, my interpretation of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony in the form of a painting.

I was raised on the New York City streets, where I saw and experienced many things.

I began to dabble in painting and it took hold of me until I became passionate about it.

When I moved to North Carolina, where my Mother was, I continued doing it and got to love it more and more.

My Father is a Holocaust survivor and some of his spirt has made it's way into my spirt. Also, in New York City, I had a number of strange encounters. A man crossed the street once, to hit me in the jaw. In the subway, a man eating a pizza slice, pressed his entire slice on my shirt, then quickly left the train. A man who owned a boat moored at the 79th Street boat basin had a stateroom full of guns and grenades and, because he felt that his Japanese girlfriend liked me, threatened to machine-gun me. My Father talked to him and persuaded him to change his mind about machine-gunning me. The combination of the spirt passed on to me by my parents and my experiences in NYC contributed greatly to my interest in trying to create interesting and beauitful paintings.
