Alain Delanneau, a long-time photographer, has always been faithful to film photography. He precisely uses a 6x8 cm medium format as well as a 4x5 inch camera to capture his images. His attachment to silver photography is also evident in his prints, which he creates using the gum bichromate technique, as well as cyanotypes, thus offering a unique aesthetic to his creations.
However, Alain doesn't just follow traditional photography standards. He ventured into the realm of the abstract, seeking to transcend reality to create works that resemble "photographic painting." This artistic approach allows him to express himself in a completely new way, pushing the boundaries of conventional photography.
The graphic art skills acquired during his studies are also reflected in his artistic work. Alain Delanneau excels in Indian ink drawing, creating subjects that seem to spring straight from his imagination. His art draws on various techniques and influences, creating a rich and captivating visual universe.
