Dipinto nato come tributo per la cantante irlandese Sinead ò Connor rappresentata nelle veci della fenice che risorge dalle sue ceneri. Nel mondo egizio la fenice era venerata come divinità solare in forma di aquila con un piumaggio dorato e un canto melodico. Secondo la tradizione biblica ogni 500 anni la Fenice si adagiava sul suo nido aspettando di essere bruciata dal sole per poi risorgere dalle sue stesse ceneri. Il simbolo della fenice è stato usato in diverse colture per rappresentare la rinascita e la vita dopo la morte. Nel dipinto la cantante è rappresentata sotto forma di un essere fantastico che emerge dalle fiamme per il suo potere comunicativo. Per la realizzazione l'artista è stato ispirato da un fotogramma dal video della canzone "Troy" in cui la cantante si identifica nella Fenice che sorge dal fuoco della creazione. Simbolo di ribellione, ma anche di sofferenza umana, rappresenta metaforicamente l'incomunicabilità, una sensibilità fragile e delicata che si redime attraverso la musica, il potere di risorgere e comunicare nel tempo grazie alla forza del messaggio sociale.
