Layered Optica is inspired from the pop arts from the 70’s till the 90’s. Using latest technology which wasn’t available decades ago, I created this series to give it a digital rendition of layering effects with a 3D frame that stands out in the living space it is displayed in. This piece is a mix between a wall object and digital art giving visual and physical depth to this limited edition piece.

Sumit Mehndiratta is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist from India. His works aren't restricted to one style or medium of work, they range from generic mediums such as canvas and paper to digital art, mixed media, wall sculptures and photography.

Describing his style the artist says that his main genre is nature and abstraction, which is prominent in most of the works. He loves abstraction and the fact that everyone perceives it differently, so it brings him pleasure to see how people relate to different shapes and colors, and interpret them differently.

His art is more about the excitement of how beautiful the strokes and patterns can emerge from experimentation. Sumit Mehndiratta strives to portray feelings of happiness, calmness, serenity, vibrancy and energy through his works that coalesce motifs, psychedelic patterns and elements of nature in a soothing color palette. On collecting Sumit Mehndiratta's artwork, you help him contribute 10% of his earnings to an Animal Welfare organization based in India called AnimalAidUnlimited who treat and shelter injured animals from the city.

Sumit Mehndiratta was born in 1986, in India. He has exhibited his works, both group and solo shows across the UK, UAE, Japan, Italy, China and India. He lives and works in Delhi.
