Chaos Theory is a unique theory which has developed over time after MIT professor Edward Lorenz first proposed it in 1967. Famously associated with saying' flapping of the wings of a butterfly in Amazon Rainforest can bring about a tornado in Texas' and this is true all explained by Chaos Theory. While mostly Science deals with expected phenomenon like gravity, electricity, chemical reactions, atomic energy Chaos Theory deals with Non Linear events which are impossible to predict and control. It attempts to explains the non linear dynamics of Chaotic systems. Chaos theory has applications in meteorology, mathematics, evolution ,sociology, biology, engineering , understanding weather patterns , stock market fluctuations and understanding unpredictable events in nature. Chaos Theory has fascinated me and this is my second painting on the subject. Please view the image in high resolution on full screen preferably on a larger device such as laptop or desktop. There are dozens of equations, Hieroglyphics, cryptic messages, iconography, symbols , scientific concepts and even poetry in various languages all related to and interwoven with central theme of the painting. Within the apparent randomness there are interconnected patterns, self similarity, self organization and never ending feedback loops explained by fractal mathematics and Mandelbrot equations integral to the theme of Chaos Theory. Another area where application of Chaotic Dynamics is apparent are called Black Swan Events , just four such events in last 100 years including the current Covid 19 pandemic is displayed in bottom half. Acrylic

Paint using traditional pigments mixed with synthetic resins.

Gouache

The substances are diluted with water and rendered pasty and opaque by the addition of gum and honey. The colors become opaque and can, therefore, be superimposed, which makes one paint with gouache as with oil. The gouache is recommended by its bright, fresh and delicate tones.

Painting Pastel

Pastel is an instrument widely used in plastic arts. Taking the form of a colored plastic stick, it is composed of pigments, a filler (chalk or plaster) and a binder (gum arabic, oil, wax).
