Is a steel sculpture created by Scott Wilkes. The piece is NOT cast. It was created by welding thousands of small steel rods together to create a soft flowing female form. The edges slowly fade out as though its slipping into nothing. To me : She is a representation of how with time it becomes harder and harder to remember all the details of someone as time passes. No mater how beautiful a memory, in time, it fades , it slips away.

Wilkes is working with metal and his goal is taking a medium which in so many ways is usually considered cold, hard, rigid and rough and making something which conveys softness, warmth, movement and flow.
