Bruno COURBIN, whose artist name is Rubbinco, is a photographer born in Gironde in 1962.
Self-taught, he nourishes his universe like opening the door to a big bazaar.
Always in search of creations, he began with acrylic painting on glass, drawing inspiration mainly from feminine beauties.
Fascinated by the plasticity of bodies, he wanted to give birth to models. The imaginary luminescence, a model who spends her days and nights in a closet, has vampirized him. Everything happens through her gaze, she sees it, she follows it, she observes it, she captures her subconscious.
The photography confirms its style with the DOMINO effect, a mythical character with humanoid features and its infinite metamorphoses.. .
Domino's metamorphosis is achieved by covering the entire body with aluminum foil and adding acrylic polychrome to give a humanoid effect. Each creation will follow Rubbinco's inspiration, through the embellishment of the covering, the accessories, giving it its own identity. Through his sharp and subtle photographer's eye, he reveals a captivating and mysterious message. Rubbinco plays with colors, black and white and likes to modify some of his creations digitally.
