Richard Boigeol, born in 1959 in Provence, is a French artist whose artistic journey reflects a mixture of influences and experiences. Passionate about drawing from an early age, he took his first lessons at the age of 7, and from his adolescence, he explored the streets of Pompeii and Herculaneum with a group of students under the caring supervision of their teacher, where they were the first audience for their own creations.

During initiatory trips to Italy, Richard also studied art history, thus enriching his understanding of artistic techniques and movements through the ages.

Since his childhood, Richard has shaped his artistic universe by drawing from his environment, taking notes and documenting everything that inspires him. Creation in all its forms is his main source of inspiration, fueling his artistic work with a wealth of ideas and concepts.

His work is characterized by an approach based on observation, symbolism, and graphic ideas, sometimes reminiscent of ideograms. Humor and the bright colors of optimism permeate his creations, which can be embellished with allegories, advertising ideas or puns.

Richard's passion for music, particularly jazz (he is a pianist), is inseparably mixed with his creative quest, enriching his work with a sonic and rhythmic dimension.

In addition to his pictorial works, Richard applies his associations of ideas in the manufacture of objects.

Living and working in France, Richard Boigeol continues to explore the frontiers of his art.
