Living not far from the place of the birth of Aphrodite and reading about the mythology inspired this work. I also visited the Louve in Paris to view the original sculpture. Living not far from the place of the birth of Aphrodite and reading about the mythology inspired this work. I also visited the Louve in Paris to view the original sculpture. The Venus de Milo is a famous ancient Greek statue believed to depict Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Created sometime between 130 and 100 BCE, it is made of marble and stands approximately 6 feet 8 inches tall. The sculpture is renowned for its missing arms and is admired for its graceful pose and classical beauty.

One of my grandfathers was a Poet,. and there has always been a flare for artistic influence in the family since early childhood. Despite a mainly financial and technical background in education, I have spent my entire life immersed in creative hobbies such as painting and iconography, with an in depth interest in artists, studying their techniques, and in fine art works. 

"Having left Russia for Malta many years ago, I initially became interested in photography and then began to express myself through drawing. I found I could use this medium to better project my mood and inner feelings, and I could build upon this by adding the medium of painting"

 In recent years I have been living in Cyprus where I have been regularly attending Art Class for more than 3 years, continually learning the classic and modern techniques of painting, and feel that have now acquired a good level of competence in this area. I like to explore various painting techniques, from acrylics and oils to watercolour and tempera, but my favourite would be painting with oils. 

Some of my Artworks are already with private collections. They can be found in collections in Cyprus, Latvia, Russia, Serbia and the UK.
