Ce tableau se présente comme une sculpture pourvue d'un système permettant de l'accrocher sur mur. Il est composé de papier mâché, recouvert de sable, puis peint à l'aide de pigments purs et liant acrylique. Au centre, un véritable galet est fixé.
Cette œuvre fait partie d'une série de sculptures en papier mâché dont l'aspect peut évoquer une des étapes du travail du temps sur la matière vivante. Le temps modifie imperceptiblement tout ce qui existe.
