Enter the whimsical world of JanJak II—a curator, an artist, and a wordsmith with hues that dance to the rhythm of his Haitian heritage. Born under the literary canopy of acclaimed novelist Jacques Stephen Alexis, JanJak's journey with colors began as a six-year-old, the prophecy of an artist written in the sands of his imagination.

His artistic voyage unfurled at Poto-Mitan, the artistic haven founded by the Haitian maestro Jean Claude Garoute. In this kaleidoscopic academy, JanJak pirouetted through the artistic rotation cycle, exchanging strokes with the likes of Ti Ga, Frido, and Patrick Vilaire. Summer whispered secrets at the Musée de L’art Haitien, where Pierre Monosier unveiled the canvas of creativity alongside luminaries like Raymond Olivier and Rose Marie Desruisseau.

Under the enchantment of family friend Francine Murat, JanJak was whisked into the spellbinding realm of voodoo art at the Centre D’art, where Caribbean colors painted stories that lingered in his soul. Washington, DC, beckoned in 1982, and within Yankel Ginzburg's studio, JanJak embraced the avant-garde allure of modern art—a dalliance that set his creative spirit ablaze.

As a cultural attaché at the Haitian embassy, JanJak curated art exhibits, orchestrating visual symphonies that echoed Haiti's vibrancy. In the sultry embrace of Miami, encounters with Hervé Télemaque fueled his fascination with abstract art and modern African themes, birthing a creative kinship that transcended canvases.

A maestro in the Florida art scene, JanJak, a proud member of the InterfineArt Group, splashes his creations across local shows and stretches his vibrant tapestry to the Dominican Republic. Descendant of the valiant Jean-Jacques Dessalines, he carries the weight of history in his name—an echo of triumph over Napoleon and the architect of the first successful slave revolt.

JanJak's canvas extends beyond the studio—he is a fervent advocate for the rebirth of Haiti. In alliance with non-profit organizations, including the "Fondation Jacques Stephen Alexis," he fuels the flame of renewal, weaving a narrative that resurrects Haitian art's past glory and propels the broader Renaissance of Haitian culture.

Amidst the tropical breezes of South Florida, JanJak orchestrates his curator's wand, presenting biannual spectacles that unveil the soul-stirring heartbeat of his Haitian heritage. Enter the kaleidoscope—JanJak II's world where art, culture, and history converge in a riot of colors.
