I like to express my creativity in one way or another, through visual arts for example...
I'm mostly self-taught and I'm still learning.
I started painting in 1998; I made a few paintings (mostly pen and ink drawings) and I was delighted at the time to be selected to participate in a local exhibition, a very interesting experience for me. My painting activities lasted a few months, then I stopped completely; I only painted a watercolor of my cat Nounours in 2008 and then I stopped again because I had other priorities...
I resumed these activities quite recently, in June 2019, with great enthusiasm. I first started with drawing (pencil and/or charcoal) and I drew portraits of personalities from the world of Arts and Entertainment. I have drawn 122 portraits so far.
Then in 2022, I got back into painting and I attended my first one-day painting workshop:
"Approaching abstraction with acrylics" on April 12, 2022 directed by Bruno Le Sourd, a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris
In 2023 I attended two one-day workshops again and each time, these workshops opened up new horizons for me:
- "Landscape painting with pastels" on May 22, 2023 directed by Dany Denis of the Société des Pastellistes de France
– "Exploring watercolor pigments" on December 4, 2023 directed by Agnès Grégis (Au Pinceau Dansant)
I have participated in 20 art exhibitions and fairs since November 2021.
I love both figurative and abstract, black and white and color; I see these two approaches as complementary and would like to continue on both paths.
I thank you for your visit and for your interest.
