Günther Mika is a contemporary German artist. Since 1984 he has been creating artistic ceramic objects, material paintings (using materials including clay, sand, paper, and chalk), and large oil paintings. All of the ceramic pieces were produced at 1300 degrees in a free-burning wood-fired kiln. Porcelain was utilized to cover various things, and glazes and salt were also used in the combustion chamber. Decorative lines, some of which are randomly placed, were painted over the surfaces.
Günther Mika has revived the southern part of Leipzig to its natural state through his illustrations of landscapes. Although the lines of his movement paintings are not precisely drawn, they do emerge from the painter's motion, clearly defined but occasionally with a hint of randomness.
