Gennady Zmitrovich is a contemporary Russian artist. Significant philosophic influences can be seen in his work. Reflections on the nation's and the world's history, as well as psychological experiences of a person faced with a life path decision, are translated into the visual realm of art. The author's sculptures and paintings figuratively represent the philosophical and psychological content. The artist expresses his emotions and thoughts through a variety of mythical and religious themes. Zmitrovich refers to his aesthetic as symbolic realism.

Gennady Zmitrovich was born in Russia, where he graduated from the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts and the Faculty of Philosophy of St. Petersburg University. Zmitrovich is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. His works are in private collections in the USA, Belgium and Finland, and in public collections in Russia.
