Let me introduce myself, I'm Chloé Terral and I practice the beautiful profession of ceramist. During my studies at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg, I was able to develop my artistic universe and then assert my favorite choices and techniques at La Maison de la Céramique in Dieulefit. Today I make unique pieces in my workshop located in the Toulouse suburbs. I create with passion and all the know-how that I have acquired over the past 5 years.

My ceramics are like dreams, objects brought back from an imaginary world, inspired by childhood snapshots. They are big cakes in colored sugar paste, very red and very shiny candy apples.

I deconstruct my gestures and free myself from codes, they are at the service of my intentions. Shaping objects imbued with ambivalence: technicality and spontaneity, naivety and tragedy, gentleness and melancholy.

I go to the essence of each shape that I repeat and surround with colored confetti to find the ideal adornment. I imagine scallops, dancing lines and a multitude of colors that meet to float from figurative to abstract. The decor embraces the earth to create an endless illustration, similar to those of floral tablecloths and curtains. My modeled and painted motifs refer to stereotypes of beauty, to popular iconography. The shiny enamel like a beautiful strawberry pie icing gives a precious bling.
