C’était juste un autre morceau de papier soufflé par le vent ou peut-être s’agissait-il d’une lettre perdue depuis longtemps flottant dans le vent. Mais qu’est-ce qui l’avait amené ici, d’où venait-il ? Quelqu'un ou la personne à qui elle était destinée l'avait perdu et maintenant, avec un souvenir nostalgique désespéré, il cherchait la lettre manquante. Peut-être que cela venait d'un être cher disparu depuis longtemps ou peut-être d'un amour des premières années. Et maintenant, il y avait ce fervent espoir de retrouver cette mine d’or de souvenirs à chérir à nouveau pour toujours.

Richard Raveen Chester is a multifaceted artist. He developed a new form of printing using a digital technique and superimposing layers on heavy art paper. He specializes in contemporary simultaneous and continuous color printing. The artist reworks the print after the marouflage transfer onto heavy art paper to achieve the artistic effect.
His work is mainly inspired by his walks in the countryside and the sensations or feelings he experiences while doing them, and which he tries to share with the spectators of his works.
Richard Raveen Chester was born in 1954 in India. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from Delhi University School of Art in 1976. He currently lives and works in Angers (France).
