Pour concevoir cette série, nous l’avons imaginée en lieu et place, dans la croûte terrestre, au centre de la terre…
La première création fut cette console toute droite, très épurée, tout en orthogonalité, d’un classicisme moderne désolant. Un plateau, deux pieds.
Il nous fallait une force mystique, capable de fondre et de tordre cette console. Dieu aurait été facile, presque classe, sûrement plus … commercial. Malheureusement nous étions dans la croûte terrestre, sous terre, dans le royaume des enfers gardé par Lucifer.
Une série du même nom me l’ayant rendu sympathique, je l’ai vu regarder cette console trop droite et, armé de ses yeux incandescents, il est venu s’appuyer sur ce meuble qui devait être puni. Infliger et apposer son empreinte.
Le plateau a commencé à se consumer, puis il s’est laissé aller. Léger fléchissement jusqu’à la courbe parfaite. Les pieds ont suivi, supportant à leur tour la pression démoniaque. Reprise physique du mouvement. Harmonie parfaite dessinée par le maitre des lieux.
Lucifer vend les meubles, Empreinte est le premier que nous avons réussi à lui échanger… »
