Francesco Dea nasce a Napoli nel 1972. La passione per la musica e la letteratura lo portano, sin da giovanissimo, a confrontarsi con ambienti artistici ed intellettuali, consentendogli di coltivare la propria sensibilità per l’arte. Nel 2001 conduce un accurato studio sul colore e si avvicina all’arte pittorica, affinando rapidamente la tecnica grazie alla frequentazione di maestri napoletani di riconosciuto valore.
Fin dagli esordi la sua pittura si rivela istintiva, profonda, emozionale, ma al tempo stesso sofisticata ed elegante nel tratto. Dotato di un particolare talento visionario, riesce ad infondere alle sue opere una notevole intensità espressiva grazie alla forza cromatica delle immagini evocate, quasi a scuotere l’interiorità più recondita dell’animo dell’osservatore.
L’intento dell’artista si avvale di una potente e naturale sensibilità nell’uso delle tinte e delle sfumature, che s’intrecciano sulla tela e se ne discostano improvvisamente in sorprendenti esplosioni di colore.
L’interesse per il mondo mistico ed esoterico, accompagnato da un’autentica ricerca introspettiva sull’essenza profonda del percorso esistenziale che ciascuno di noi è chiamato a compiere, sono tratti intimamente radicati nelle sue creazioni. Le rappresentazioni ottenute sono frutto di una concezione estremamente onirica del mondo circostante, presentando astrazioni con caratteri di profondità e movimento nelle quali vorticano volti, oggetti, luoghi e forme distinguibili. Non a caso sogni ed emozioni costituiscono la fonte primaria da cui la sua fervida ispirazione attinge.
Il metodo artistico che si riflette nelle sue opere suggerisce richiami all’Espressionismo, all’ Astrattismo ed alla pittura informale, traducendosi comunque in uno stile riconoscibile e dai tratti caratteristici.
