"Maryna Sakalouskaya è nata a Minsk (Bielorussia) nel 1980. Appassionata di musica e arte, a otto anni si iscrive al Conservatorio dove studia vari strumenti musicali per sei anni; scrive poesie e disegna. Nel 2000 si trasferisce in Italia e inizia a dipingere. I primi quadri si ispirano alla filosofia; nel 2004 si appassiona all’equitazione e dedica un periodo della sua pittura al cavallo arabo, che predilige. Segue quindi una ricerca sulla figura umana, con attenzione al ritratto e alla psicologia dei soggetti, evolvendo da una figurazione esplicita a una surreale interpretazione sempre più spinta verso un deciso superamento della forma definita." Nella sua carriera di pittrice ha partecipato a più di 200 mostre tra personali e collettive.
