Jérôme Danikowski est né en 1954 à Lille. Passionné d’art depuis l’enfance, il pratique la sculpture depuis une quarantaine d’années, en autodidacte marqué par l’œuvre paternelle. Son père Boleslaw Danikowski (1928-1979) était un céramiste de grand talent.
Ingénieur de formation, son activité professionnelle au sein du Ministère de l’Équipement l’a conduit dans l’Allier en 1982 où il a conduit des études dans les domaines de l’urbanisme et de l’environnement. Il est retraité depuis 2017.
Son implication dans le territoire et son goût de l’action collective l’ont conduit depuis 2007 à s’investir fortement au sein de l’association 2A2B qui anime les Ateliers du Chapeau Rouge à Souvigny. Il organise notamment les expositions Bancs Poèmes (depuis 2009), les Ateliers sculpture du chemin de Saint-Jacques (2012 et 2014) et la triennale d’art sacré de Souvigny (initiée en 2019), qui fédèrent un réseau d'artistes à l'échelle nationale.
