Il tire son inspiration et son modèle de ses illustres ancêtres, incarnés par son deuxième prénom, Gian-Carlo, issu de son grand-père italien maternel, et son nom, Garcia Moniz, héritage paternel et angolais.
Bien que jeune par son âge, cela fait sa force, son parcours artistique transcende les frontières temporelles. À maintes reprises, Gian-Carlo GARCIA MONIZ a eu l'honneur de monter de ses propres mains des vernissages et de présenter ses œuvres dans des lieux prestigieux, élevant ainsi son art, qui se situe dans le spectre de l’abstrait et du contemporain.
Né avec des feutres dans la main, il va alors fair ses débuts dans le dessin, puis va alors s'étendre vers la peinture jusqu'à créer l'appellation sortie de son univers : "O ARTE CARLO", ou "l'art de Carlo".
