Ho realizzato la mia prima esposizione personale a 18 anni nel lontano 1969 a Caltanissetta in Sicilia, dove sono nato. Ho esposto nelle più belle città d'Italia fra le quali: Agrigento, Caltanissetta (1969,71), Palermo (1971), Napoli(Castel dell'Ovo 2016), Roma (2015), Macerata (1970), L'Aquila (1971), Rimini (2006), Spoleto (1975), Bologna (Artefiera 1993) Sanremo, Cuneo (1977, 1980), dove ho vissuto dal 1979 al 2015, Ferrara (2013 )e Torino (2013), dove mi sono stabilito dal 2015. Ho esposto anche all'estero:
Hawaii nel 2007, in Francia a Chouze sur Loire,presso il Museo del Chateau des Reaux (opera in permanenza), e Parigi (performance nel 2014).
Per me la pittura è indagine, terapia e sfogo: ho provato diverse tecniche pittoriche e vari materiali per cercare l'equilibrio e la perfezione che non ho ancora trovato.
Da molti anni il mio tema preferito è l'Albero al quale ho dedicato vari cicli. "Il lungo meditato, misurato itinerario pittorico di Antonio Presti si identifica con un naturalismo rivisitato, con una ricerca attenta ai valori del colore e della materia, con una figurazione legata a una visione della realtà...." (Angelo Mistrangelo). Descrive bene la mia recente Arte, il grande poeta dialettale Monregalese Remigio Bertolino nella presentazione della mia personale al Museo della Ceramica di Mondovì nel 2014:" Le sue immagini che paiono scaturire da una sorgiva di sogno e di forme archetipe, immagini di grande impatto emotivo, trasmettono al fruitore "visioni" di alta poesia..."
