Zhao Gang was born in Jinan in 1966, and is originally from Laizhou, Shandong Province. He is the vice president of the Qilu Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, a member of the Art Committee of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, vice president of the Ciguang Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, and executive director of the Jinan Multicultural Exchange Association.
Since childhood, Zhao Gang has been devoted to Danqing, and has studied painting with Liu Junsheng, Xiao Yu, Zhang Dentang, Xie Wei Chu and other masters. He has always devoted himself to the study of traditional painting and painting theory, advocating the unity of painting and character, and injecting his spiritual comprehension of natural landscape into his works to express the innocence, goodness and beauty of nature.
