These are a few examples of commissions I've done; my fee in general is $4 per square inch, with a minimum size of 8 x 10 inches ($320). However this pricing is not definite depending on the complexity of the composition and the number of subjects, so please email me at heidishaulis at ya hoo dot com to discuss your project in detail before I give you an exact quote. It's my pleasure to work with you to create an original work of art in either an anthropomorphic or more realistic/naive style, using your photographs. A 50% deposit will get your painting started, with the balance due at completion. If I currently have a waiting list, then a 25% deposit will hold your place with an additional 25% due when I begin your painting.

Based in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains in Western Massachusetts, I paint cats in both anthropomorphic and more natural poses, in a naive self-taught style of glazed oil painting that I have developed over a period of about 30 years.
Paintings, prints and cards are available in my Etsy shop, and the best way to follow my newest work and announcements is to sign up for my Facebook page. Links to these are on my Links page.
In what seems like another life, I also worked as an archaeologist for many years and have a degrees in anthropology and American Civilization. I love old houses, vintage household goods, needlework, color, animals and just about anything that is handmade with love and care.

Almost all of my paintings are oil on stretched canvas. I use a glazing technique in which thin layers of color are laid over each other resulting in jewel-like intense color and the soft look that I like.

Hi I have three of your paintings that I bought on ebay. I was wondering if you could put Charlie and Beach Peas on this site. I bought that painting from you on ebay. I'm also the owner of Pearl's Debut. God bless her little heart.
