Women 30

This is a project I recently started with the eventual aim of an exhibition.
A combination of thirty works of paintings and drawings depicting women through their life journey peaking at the age of thirty.
Spiritual representations of people in the afterlife appear to focus at this age. When visited by an entity or soul people nearly always report their love ones to look about thirty year old. It is an age which glorifies woman at her best. She has achieved and is still set to acheive, she has suffered torment often violence and grief, given birth, shouldered responsibilty and passed on her life skills and knowledge to others yet remains ever expectant and aware of the promise many future years hold.
The soul of womankind is the basis of the real world 'Mother Nature' if you like and this image which is usually conveyed by other woman can also be seen and appreciated by 'Man'. To see, respect and appreciate Woman as far more than just the usual stereotyped sex object but as the 'Essence of reality'
This example work is Woman of thirty looking back at a younger self or a younger self looking forward whichever the eye feels most appropriate'
I am mid way through the project which I am hoping to conclude early 2007
