Sheila QUERRE was born in England in 1931 and studied painting at Central School Saint Martins.

After her higher studies at Kingston on Thames School of Art, then at the Central School of Art and Craft in London, she exercised her talents for several years in advertising graphics in London before marrying in 1957 to a man of the vine and wine Alain Querre.

Among her exhibitions (quite rare because she is more comfortable in creation than in commercial work) there have been group exhibitions in Paris, Bordeaux, Dijon, Rocamadour, Pau, London and Chichester in England and private exhibitions in Bordeaux 1982, Farnham England 1983, Saint Emilion 1987, Brussels 1992, Saint Emilion 2013.

She became an associate member of the Société National des beaux-arts, her paintings are in private collections in Belgium, France, England, Japan, United States……

A painting sold to the State in 1961

She paints in oil, relying on on her sketches and notes taken during her walks around her home. His work expresses all the emotions that a human can feel in front of nature. With the sfumato technique she merges trees with clouds, clouds with fields, fields with water, and all this in a dialogue of color, sensitivity and extreme delicacy. The masters of Romanticism (Turner, Constable) like the masters of Impressionism (Monet) would happily welcome her as one of their own. Sheila Querre has had exhibitions in England, France and Belgium and among the collectors is the French State.
