I was born and raised in São Paulo - Brazil. With a seamstress on my maternal grandmother and a painter on my paternal grandmother, I grew up surrounded by art, appreciating the artistic gifts of others, but without recognizing them in myself. This recognition occurred on one of my trips to Europe, when I felt the desire to transform my reflections and feelings into art. My intention is to invite the observer to enter the same internal labyrinths that I travel through when creating. Each work I make becomes an invitation for everyone to reveal, within themselves, what is not always on the surface.
Art is my way of connecting with the Divine, where I explore what is in my unconscious and my emotional experiences, such as happiness, anger, frustration and loneliness. Everyday experiences, from what I feel and also observe, feed my compositions. I grew up in São Paulo - Brazil, a city of intense contrasts, where nightlife, graffiti and the dramatic energy of every corner shape the souls of those who inhabit it. Therefore, references such as Eduardo Kobra, Os Gêmeos intertwine with my artistic identity, echoing the need to express chaos and urban beauty. Artistically, I am an eternal seeker, an alchemist who mixes different times and aesthetics. I drink from several sources. But I'm not content with just the present. I feel a magnetic attraction to the past, to the minds that transcended their times. Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, Francis Bacon and Basquiat are great inspirations for my works. The fusion of these influences, which apparently belong to different worlds, gives shape to me and my art, where time dissolves and the creative spirit expands infinitely. Furthermore, my identity as an artist goes beyond visual influences and finds deep inspiration in another passion I carry: music. I confess that I am nostalgic in this field, nurturing a special love for vinyl, with its sonic textures, and for the visceral complexity of bands like Led Zeppelin, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Doors, Metallica, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Duran Duran, Kryour, The Clash, The Police, Capital Inicial, The Cure, Simple Minds, Iron Maiden, U2, The Smiths, RHCP, CBJR, The Smashing Pupmkins...
The vibration of notes, chords and melodies intertwine with my strokes, so that each brushstroke is an intuitive response to the music that surrounds me, which in turn is chosen according to my mood. In this way, sound, feeling, shape and color merge, making each work a unique composition, which carries the essence of each piece of my inner world and what I want people to feel when they observe the final result.
