‘Oceans of Oz’ opens in Paris, 1st December, 2015. The collaborative art exhibition combining the unique expertise talents of awarded artists Olivia Alexander (Australia) and Ann Dunbar (France). Their inspiration comes from the pristine sands and azure crystal waters of the beautiful Australian coast.

Ann and Olivia have very unique and highly specialized techniques with a common passion for nature; sharing this passion with rich colour, paintbrush and thread.

Olivia Alexander’s expressionistic paintings are developed using diverse and specialized mixed media layering techniques to create luscious depths of colour and texture.

Ann Dunbar chooses to marry exquisite embroidery with water colour painting in a most profound and unique way. The thousands of silk threads, sewn layer by layer, distributed with ease, add volume, so much so that it seems like real nature.

Within each painting the viewer can be taken across the oceans and experience the wonder of Australia, allowing the imagination to sense the roaring ocean or the warmth of the smooth white sands.
