Née au milieu du Siècle dernier, Jeanine Fitou-Valens a passé son enfance et son adolescence de l’autre côté de la Méditerranée.Elle garde malgré un départ douloureux, des souvenirs lumineux.

Pierre Boucherle (Peintre de l’Ecole de Tunis) professeur très digne et très attachant, a été un des professeurs de dessin qui l’a encouragé à suivre cette voie.

Aquarelles, natures mortes, paysages font alors partis d’une adolescence heureuse.

Dès son arrivée en France à l’âge de seize ans, elle poursuit sa démarche artistique, en évoluant de plus en plus vers l’abstraction.

Partageant vie familiale et professionnelle elle décide de suivre des études d’Histoire de l’Art à l’Ecole du Louvre et spécialement d’Histoire de la Sculpture.

Parallèlement à ses études théoriques, elle intègre les Ateliers Beaux Arts de Paris (Ecole de Jean Cardot, rue de la Glacière) de 1994 à 1997 où elle suit un enseignement rigoureux de sculpture en modelé avec comme Professeurs des sculpteurs prestigieux : Antoine Zuber ( Professeur des Beaux Arts) et Claude Abeille (Sculpteur Academicien).

De 1997 à 2000 elle crée ses propres œuvres à l’Atelier d’Arts Plastiques d’Epinay- sur -Orge et depuis 1998 à l’Ecole d’Arts plastiques de Draveil.

Sa principale source d’inspiration est le corps humain : elle peut l’évoquer à la fois dans des scènes sportives comme « Les Arts Martiaux » ou « Les Sumos », ou dans les thèmes plus doux comme la danse, les enfants, la maternité ou le corps féminin.



Participe aux Salons de Paris-Sud, St-Germain-les-Corbeil, Antony, Draveil, Morangis, Rambouillet, Chartres …
