The contemporary painter and sculptor Diana Achtzig belongs to the New Leipzig School (diploma HGB Leipzig + UdK Berlin), she lives and works in Berlin. She completed her diploma in stage costume and stage design at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK) in 1999 and continued her studies at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig (HGB).
The "Sell Art Achtzig Podcast" and the Berlin Achtzig art gallery belong to the podcaster Diana Achtzig. Achtzig has been pursuing her international exhibition activities since 1990 and has presented her art in private art galleries, art fairs and public institutions.
Achtzig has cooperated with galleries worldwide in Amsterdam, New York, Texas, Rome, Milan, Salzburg and Hamburg. These include the Bottega Barone Gallery (Berlin), Alessandro Abadetto Gallery (Berlin, Milan) and the Erstererster Gallery (Berlin). In addition, she presented her work in the BStU Leipzig branch in the Stasi Records Archive, in the Youth [Resistance] Museum of the Evangelical Galilee Church (Hedwig-Wachenheim-Gesellschaft e.V. Foundation) and in January 2023 in the Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien. To date, she is represented in almost 50 art collections worldwide.
In 1990, Achtzig founded her first art gallery in Amsterdam, with which she moved to Brunnenstrasse in Mitte in 2009, which still exists today under the Kunstgalerie Berlin Achtzig. Since 2003, Achtzig has worked as a freelance lecturer, e.g. at the UdK Berlin and HTW Berlin. In 2015, Achtzig founded her own Achtzig Art Academy Berlin.
