Bertrand Gossart’s journey into the world of painting began in his adolescence. Initially, he focused on oil pastels, capturing scenes in Paris, Berlin, and Italy. Eventually, he dedicated himself solely to oil painting on linen canvas.
His artistic education was influenced by a renowned teacher with ties to César, and he spent time near one of the greatest temples of art: the Louvre. His frequent visits there helped sharpen not only his artistic skills but also his creative consciousness.
Gossart's exposure to modern art, particularly expressionism, profoundly shaped his artistic style. His work reflects an ongoing dialogue with this movement, characterized by his bold choice of colors and expressive brushwork.
Having lived in seven international cities and visited over 70 countries, Bertrand’s art is deeply influenced by his extensive travels.
In recent years, he has spent significant time between Bangkok and Indonesia, and these regions play a central role in his latest body of work.
