The art I currently develop within the In|Square collection intends to express my personal reflections on concepts such as reality and perception.
Through the various essays I aim to reach deeper conclusions and alternative answers to the questions of the stars that are still open.
What is the destiny of human beings, who are we now and who will we be in the future, should we trust the universe and each other or aspire to absolute centralized control?
I aim to develop ideas about possible alternatives with an aim to reconciling the sun and the moon.
I believe that art has the potential to discover unpredictable paths, create seemingly impossible connections and resolve conflicts through the intention of expressing true feelings and for them to reach the other side.

Hi! My name is André Rios.
I was born in Portugal in 1986 and this is where I live and work.
Art has always been my passion and I studied in several art and design courses.
2004 - Communication Design - ESAD
2006 - Fine Art - FBAUL
2008 - Product Design - Lusíada
Not having found the kind of teaching I was looking for, I decided to become self-taught and develop my own artistic techniques.
I make portraits commissions and I paint original artworks, I am now developing my new collection.
I work exclusively with Soft Pastel and the aesthetic line I'm creating lies between surrealism and hyper-realism and is characterized by the fragmentation of realistic images.
At this moment I am looking to expand my art internationally and make this unique style known to the world.
