Miguel Ángel Sáez is contemporary award-winning Spanish multidisciplinary artist. His compositions, which he describes as eclectic, are heartbreaking and profound. They delve into the fantastical and the irrational, yet they are also a sharp critique of the injustice of society.
In addition to studying sculpture with Polish painter and sculptor Victor Weseyesky in his studio in Amsterdam, he also studied applied arts in Antwerp, Belgium. He traveled to Poland and eventually established his workshop in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where he collaborated with the sculptor Toni Gallardo and created reinforced concrete sculptures for public areas. There, he became acquaintances with notable painters like Pepe Dámaso, Felo Monzón, César Manrique, and Manolo Millares.
Miguel Ángel Sáez was born in 1946, in Spain. His works have received various awards so far and have been widely displayed both nationally and internationally in Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United States, and Israel.
