"One day I saw Hitchcock's film - a masterpiece of the thriller genre "Birds" - and he made a strong impression on me. In a Hitchcock film, birds simply attack people for no apparent reason. The film shocked me so much that birds became a part of my life. Going out into the street, I saw only birds - all different, of an interesting color, each doing something, flying somewhere. Birds interested me in their life, I saw a personality in a bird. So they became the heroes of my paintings. They have a rich life, peculiar habits, and character. Therefore, the main theme of my work is birds that look like people, each one tells their story and their experiences. There are birds that, like people, are immobilized and cannot fly or do not have wings, because they lost them due to trials. Or birds without eyes because they don't want to see anything. Birds are the personification of our ego, a symbol of freedom or not. I want the viewer to see support for themselves in my works, inspiration, new stimuli and aspirations, new awareness and a look at themselves from the outside."
