Elliott Grieshofer is een kunstenaar gespecialiseerd in zwart-witfotografie, geboren (15 november 1994) in Graz (Oostenrijk) en opgegroeid in Rome (Italië), nu woonachtig in Calabrië, Italië.
Hij begon in 2021 samen te werken met kunstgalerijen en verkoopt momenteel zijn werken in heel Europa.
Zijn werk is vaak abstract en bevat elementen van het surrealisme, hoog contrast, mist en melancholische realiteiten.
Hij begon met fotograferen toen hij in de twintig was, geïnspireerd door de foto's van Ansel Adams, Henry Cartier-Bresson en het picturalisme uit de 19e eeuw. Hij fotografeert vooral graag tijdens ‘slecht weer’, waarbij hij profiteert van het zachte licht van de mist, waardoor een mysterieuze wereld ontstaat, of met de charme van de regen, waarbij hij probeert de scenario’s schilderachtig te maken, dwalend op zoek naar contrasten, poëtische lichten, mysterie, stilte en momenten van reflectie.
