Carlos Arriagada is een kunstfotograaf wiens indrukwekkende artistieke carrière getuigt van zijn passie en talent. Hij werd geboren in Chili en volgde een opleiding aan het Professional Institute of Art and Communication en aan de Photo-Art school in Santiago, Chili. Carlos werkte ruim twaalf jaar als freelance fotograaf op het gebied van mode, reclame en uitgeverij. Naast zijn commerciële carrière ontwikkelde hij zijn artistieke werk, waarbij hij zich vooral richtte op video en fotografie.
In 2001 nam Carlos de beslissing om zich in Parijs te vestigen om zich volledig aan zijn artistieke werk te wijden, waarbij hij de voorkeur gaf aan een minimalistische benadering. Sindsdien zijn zijn werken te zien in solo- en groepstentoonstellingen over de hele wereld, waaronder Mexico, Chili, Brazilië, Argentinië en Frankrijk.
Tot de prestigieuze plaatsen waar zijn tentoonstellingen zijn gehouden behoren het Diego Rivera Museum in Mexico-Stad, de Drugstore Gallery in Santiago de Chile, het Museum voor Hedendaagse Kunst in Santiago de Chile, het Huis van Cultuur van Mexico in Santiago de Chile, de Gallery Pierre Verger in Bahia, Brazilië, het Sao Paulo Cultureel Centrum in Brazilië en de Ziewood Gallery in Buenos Aires, Argentinië, om er maar een paar te noemen.
Carlos Arriagada heeft ook verschillende prijzen gewonnen voor zijn werken, waaronder de Prix de la Photographie 17ème mai des Créateurs in Orly in Frankrijk, de 1e prijs Monochrome Libre op de National Photographic Art Salon in Santiago, Chili, en de 1e kleurprijs op de Salon Nationale fotografische kunst in Santiago, Chili.
In 2021 werden zijn foto's door de beroemde decorateur Luis Bustamante gekozen voor de decoratie van het 4* Hotel Seventy in Barcelona, Spanje.
