Vladimir Fomin is een hedendaagse beeldhouwer en ontwerper. Hij realiseert zijn ideeën geheel zelf - van een simpele schets tot het uiteindelijke meesterwerk vervaardigd in metaal. Deze benadering geeft zijn werken een natuurlijke samenhang en harmonie. Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit Rusland, vervolgde hij zijn studie beeldhouwkunst in Wit-Rusland en verbeterde hij zijn vaardigheden in het werken met materialen verder door gieterijen in Moskou, St. Petersburg en Minsk te verkennen.
In 2017 maakte hij de overstap naar Krakau, waar hij nu leiding geeft aan de gieterijstudio Bronze Polskie. Gedurende deze tijd heeft hij zijn eigen kenmerkende artistieke stijl ontwikkeld en zijn focus verlegd naar het creëren van interieurelementen.
Door kunst met industrie te combineren, heeft hij zich gewaagd aan het maken van designmeubels en kleinere stukken. Hij vindt inspiratie in alledaagse voorwerpen en transformeert ze in kunstwerken. Hij omarmt de idealen van Kandinsky's abstractie en Braque's kubisme en combineert kunstig vormen, kleuren en texturen, waarbij hij conventionele betekenissen negeert ten gunste van het vieren van de intrinsieke schoonheid van het materiaal zelf.
