Biography
Marina Astakhova is a contemporary Russian painter. Her works through an imaginative color kaleidoscope transform and reflect the versatility and harmony of the world around us. A distinctive feature of her creative method are shimmering and vibrating abstract geometric ornaments based on the traditions of op-art, orphism and post-painterly, hard edge abstraction.
In the artistic practice of Marina Astakhova, geometric compositions with acrylic on canvas resonate with interior sculptures and panels made of wood. The artist’s work is characterized by a constant desire to experiment with artistic techniques and materials.
Marina Astakhova was born in Russia. Her works are in private collections in Russia, United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, USA, Hong Kong, UAE.

I took part in one of the largest art shows - World Art Dubai, meeting artists and galleries from all over the world. My artworks were from Crystals & Diamonds series. Crystal Steel - 140x140 cm quadriptych, acrylic on canvas, and three tondos from Collectibles Mini Crystals series - Crystal 409, Crystal 411, Cryslal 412, acrylic on canvas, framed diameter 44 cm.
