Albert Cruells nació artista el once de Setiembre de 1947.
Hijo de una profesora de piano y de un escritor, creció asilvestrado entre ríos y huertos rodeado de animales.
A los siete años realiza su primera exposición en la carnicería de su abuelo.
A los dieciocho años se instala en Barcelona para estudiar Arquitectura.
Albert se integra en la modernidad de Barcelona y Cadaqués, donde realiza varias exposiciones siempre que tuviera algo interesante que mostrar.
Su obra se internacionaliza y se edita el primer libro sobre su trabajo.
La fundación Vila Casas se hizo con obra suya y la Fundación Antonio Saura le dedica una exposición antológica y la edición de un libro recopilatorio de toda su trayectoria.
De vuelta a su pueblo, Albert sigue trabajando como el niño pegado a una brocha que nunca dejó de ser.
