Künstlerisches Anliegen:
Es sind die Gesichter der Menschen, die sie mit anderen Gesichtern und ihrer Umwelt verbinden, ihr Leben und ihre Umwelt widerspiegeln. Wir haben früh gelernt, Gesichtsausdrücke zu deuten. Für mich ist es aber die Herausforderung, sie mit ihren Gefühlen zu zeichnen: Angst, Freude, Traurigkeit, Liebe, Ärger und Ekel.
Seit meinem Studium zeichne ich. Zeichnen war immer Teil meines Lebens, im Beruf wie im Privaten. Es ist die Intensität, das Komplexe und Verborgene des Ausdrucks und die Geschichte dahinter, die mich faszinieren, die Herausforderung, dies alles „zu Papier“ zu bringen. Ich will die sich darin widerspiegelnden „Stimmungen“ einfangen, damit auch, die Geschichte dahinter. Der Betrachter muss sich unmittelbar auf der Gefühlsebene angesprochen fühlen. Doch welches Gefühl löst es beim Betrachter genau aus? Und wer schaut wen an? Fragen, die nur Betrachter und Bild gemeinsam lösen können.
