Jacqueline Schreier nace en Lausanne, Suiza en 1936.
Estudió dibujo y pintura en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Zürich. Al terminar sus estudios, empieza a trabajar para distintas agencias publicitarias, enfocada principalmente hacia la ilustración.
Ha sido una incansable viajera y estas experiencias tan diversas han influido de una forma determinante su trayectoria artística. Se estableció en distintos países con culturas, costumbres y climatología muy diversa, donde realiza gran parte de su carrera profesional, enfocada mayormente en su habilidad y destreza con el dibujo y la ilustración.
En 1965 Jacqueline Schreier visita por primera vez España y aquí empieza a colaborar como fondista para diversas películas y series de dibujos animados, así como ilustradora para editoriales y agencias de publicidad.
En 1968 viaja a América del Norte y se establece en Toronto, Canadá, realizando ilustraciones para diversas publicaciones; más tarde Jacqueline regresa a Europa y empieza una nueva experiencia en Noruega, colaborando con diferentes revistas y agencias de publicidad.
En 1971 ella traslada su residencia a la ciudad de Florencia en Italia y ahí trabaja para películas de dibujos animados.
En 1976, Schreier viaja hacia tierras tropicales en América del Sur a Caracas, Venezuela y aquí empieza una nueva etapa como Directora de Arte en varias agencias de publicidad.
Posteriormente en 1981, Jacqueline Schreier regresa a España y se afinca definitivamente en la sierra de Madrid (donde reside actualmente) y continua su desempeño profesional en el sector editorial y las agencias de publicidad, pero es aquí donde comienza a trabajar más formalmente en la confección de su obra pictórica. Es en España donde ella inicia su trayectoria de artista visual y donde incursiona en distintas técnicas de pintura sobre lienzo, madera, papel, seda, trabaja el collage y también empieza a crear pequeñas piezas de escultura.
En 1991, patrocinada por la Embajada Suiza en España colabora en los actos del 700 aniversario Suizo y J. Schreier expone conjuntamente su colección de acuarelas en la sala de Arte del Club Suizo de Madrid. A partir de ahí, empieza a exhibir su trabajo artístico en diferentes galerías e instituciones culturales tanto en España como en Suiza. Y en sitios relevantes como la Galería del Banco Cantonal de Zürich en Suiza.
Actualmente Jacqueline Schreier sigue colaborando con editoriales e ilustra cuentos y libros infantiles y esto lo compagina activamente con su trabajo artístico de pintura y escultura.
