Originaire de la Côte d’Azur, Rimp entre à l’École Municipale d’Arts Plastiques de Nice où il expérimente différentes techniques : dessin, peinture, gravure, céramique, photographie.

Il obtient en 2004 un BTS Communication Visuelle à Toulon et part en 2005 étudier le graphisme en Angleterre pendant une année.

En 2006, de retour en France, Il s’installe à Lyon en tant que graphiste. Rimp s’intéresse alors à l’art urbain et rencontre des artistes de ce milieu avec lesquels il collabore et expose sur Lyon et Paris.

Un voyage au Mexique en 2007 sera une première révélation pour son développement artistique, suivi de la découverte des masques du Musée du Quai Branly à Paris en 2010 qui le touche profondément et le décideront à se consacrer pleinement à la réalisation de ses projets artistiques.

Sa démarche évolue du masque au signe, l’écriture on pourrait dire avec son vocabulaire et sa syntaxe, conservant toujours la figure comme élément récurent et clé de compréhension pour entrer dans son univers. Oscillant entre figuration et abstraction, il s’applique à tenter de montrer le vide qui nous compose et compose le monde, l’invisible qui réunit chaque partie constituant un Tout plus complexe.

Il travaille aujourd’hui principalement sur Lyon, passant du mur à l’atelier pour créer sur toile ou en digital, ces supports lui ouvrant ainsi une porte vers l’international.
