Lola est une jeune artiste qui ne fait jamais les choses comme tout le monde. Pour commencer, elle est née au Brésil et a été adoptée à l’âge de 3 mois. Elle a vécu une enfance heureuse grâce à l’amour et à la patience de ses parents. Elle a connu à l’âge de 3 ans une année entière sans parler, chose inimaginable pour elle aujourd’hui qui est une grande bavarde. On pourrait dire que c’est à ce moment qu’elle a commencé à avoir son propre univers.
À l’école primaire, elle est diagnostiquée dyslexique. C’est véritablement pendant cette période de sa vie que son âme d’artiste s’est révélée, en illustrant elle-même les histoires qu’elle inventait et en écrivant des poèmes.
C’est quelques années plus tard, en renversant malencontreusement de l’encre de Chine sur une feuille, qu’elle a eu l’idée de souffler sur l’encre en faisant tourner sa feuille. En voyant que le résultat ressemblait à un visage, elle a répété l’expérimentation pour développer et mettre au point sa propre technique. Désormais, elle souffle à l’aide d’une paille sur l’encre de Chine, et réalise les dessins que vous pouvez voir sur ce site.
Complètement autodidacte, elle vit et fait ses dessins au gré de ses nombreuses émotions, toujours dans un univers joyeux et coloré.
